E-commerce experts at Spending Lab monitor the prices of popular products online and review the best deals. This year Spending Lab are forecasting deals on Chromebooks, Surface 2-in-1 laptops and older MacBook laptops. The recent release of the new MacBook Air is expected to lead to stronger discounts on older MacBook Air models over the holiday shopping season.
Both total online spending and visitor numbers have been on the rise in recent years for the Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales period. Shopify, a popular e-commerce platform, reported online sales in excess of $1 million per minute during Black Friday last year – nearly double the rate of Black Friday 2016.
