INTERVIEW ON THE PRICE OF BUSINESS SHOW, MEDIA PARTNER OF THIS SITE.
Recently Kevin Price, Host of the nationally syndicated Price of Business Show, interviewed Professor Mark H. Rose.
On a recent Price of Business show, Host Kevin Price visited with Professor Mark H. Rose of Florida Atlantic University about the Curiosity Stream documentary on the Interstate Highway System, which is part of The Lightbulb Moment series. This particular episode was entitled “INTERSTATE | How The Interstate Connected and Divided America.”
According to Curiosity Stream’s description, “Dwight Eisenhower’s interstate highway system was the biggest infrastructure project of its time, a bold plan to connect all corners of America and boost the post-war economy. So how did it end up dividing the nation, and deepening the divide between rich and poor?” Dr. Rose does an excellent job addressing that question.
After the interview, Kevin Price said “I love this series. So many things we take for granted and treat so casually, actually had a profound impact. This series explores that reality.” According to a statement, “The Lightbulb Moment’ is a new docuseries produced by Cheddar in partnership with CuriosityStream.”
According to his biography, “Mark Rose studies and teaches the social and policy bases of American life in the 20th Century. He is the author of more than forty articles in journals such as the Journal of Urban History, Technology and Culture, The Journal of Policy History, and the Journal of Planning History. Rose’s books include Cities of Light and Heat: Domesticating Gas and Electricity in Urban America (1995); and (with Raymond A. Mohl), Interstate: Highway Politics and Policy Since 1939 (3rd ed., rev., 2012). Rose’s research has been supported by grant agencies including the National Endowment for the Humanities, the National Science Foundation, and the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars.” READ MORE
