I Totally Trained My Dog during Quarantine with the Help of BarxBuddy

Reading Time: 2 minutes

If you’ve ever had a dog as pet, then you’ll understand how impulsive they can be. Dogs, like most other pets in the home, tend to bark, sniff out and eat up things without caution. And so, training them during quarantine can be a little demanding.

But regardless of how difficult it may seem, the BarxBuddy dog training device works magic. I totally trained my dog during quarantine with the help of BarxBuddy, and it went quite smoothly. I’ll be sharing how in this post; keep scrolling.

How it started

Dogs are great companions for man. However, training them to become your companion might be somewhat bothersome—talk of the unnecessary aggressive barking, the bad behavior, the running off and what have you.

At the start of the quarantine, I thought of possible ways to keep my dog ‘sane’—oh no, I never liked the noisy, untrained traits dogs tend to exhibit in most cases. But I wasn’t sure how to deal with them.

The fact that in-person training classes with pros were restricted was a major challenge. But that wasn’t all. Social-distancing rules also prevented me from socializing my dog at a park. It was quite tasking to train my dog considering these circumstances. But then, BarxBuddy came through.

The BarxBuddy therapy

BarxBuddy is an ultrasonic device, and it basically changes the way dog owners like me control pets. As soon as I found out about the device, I jumped at it. I thought it might be some good therapy for my dog’s aggressive barking, and of course, it was.

BarxBuddy gives off ultrasonic signals that attract dogs. And while it may be popular for preventing barks, it also works perfectly for training.

The device doesn’t hurt dogs. It only gets their attention and makes them react differently.

How The BarxBuddy dog training device works

I have used BarxBuddy, so, I know exactly how it works. First, the noise emitted by the device is hardly heard by humans. I mean, I could literally hear nothing the first time I tried it. But being a dog owner became a plus later on—the sound seems to be audible only to dog owners.

As soon as the device is activated, the dog hears. You need to see my dog’s reaction the first time. It was clear dogs have a higher hearing range than humans; they hear what humans don’t.

The loud, high-pitched noise that comes from the BarxBuddy dog training device was the game changer. Immediately the dog hears it, it adjusts—and then training begins. Remember I trained my dog with this piece? So it ain’t bluff.

I have put together a few tips that worked for me during the process, you may scroll down to find them:

  • Love it or not, dogs will bark. The moment your dog starts barking, stay put and avoid agitating it further.
  • Position yourself and allow your dog see you.
  • Point BarxBuddy at it and hit the button for the sound to be emitted.
  • Take a few more steps towards the dog and activate the LED light.
  • Hold off the sound and light, and give the dog a moment of rest.
  • Repeat the process
