2017 Oscar Winner will Not Present in 2018 Due to #Metoo Movement

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Casey Affleck will not be presenting the Best Actress Award at the 2018 Oscars, in spite of being the Best Actor winner in 2017.  It breaks a log running tradition of the male winner of an award of one year presenting to the female winner the next year (and vice versa).  Affleck has been accused of sexual harassment and has been a subject of controversy in the #MeToo movement.
